To create a complete definition file for everyone while avoiding duplication of effort, each lab will do a file from a source specified below. The briefs from every lab will then be compiled and distributed to all. It is important that every different definition of each word be carded. Even if you cannot see the significance of each definition now, it may become important later. So, be thorough.

Briefs should be word specific (for example, only on “increase” or only on “substantially”), but each page should have as many different definitions as will fit on the page. To do this, labs will have to meet to sort definitions by word and then brief by word.

Some labs are assigned e-resources. Make these assignments so that a few students are not burdened with printing from their GreenPrint accounts. Either assign the e-resources to students who have their own personal printers, or assign every student some e-resource work. For example, each student in a lab could be given a word and only have to print that word from the e-resource.

Briefs are due in lab Wednesday, July 18.
